Went to the Konaki Taverna tonight with my wife for Valentines day.
The food was simply superb, best Greek food I have ever tasted.

Service was amazing and my wife ever got a rose while I was given the bill...

Would recommend to anyone.

My wife and I are now living in Athens and we came back home for a visit after many years abscence to discover a real gem at our old stomping grounds. Of course I mean Konaki. The food is fabulous (better than in Athens)and the hospitality typically greek, Friendly and jovial.
John the owners son was a waiter, dancer and made the atmosphere extra special. We will be back for more and we shall recommend Konaki to all our friends.

If you are thinking of getting married and can\'t decide where to have your reception, then look no further. If we had held our reception in the Hilton or Buckingham Palace, Konaki\'s would still have been better. Our wedding was made super special by the hospitality shown by the excellent staff at Konaki\'s. The food was spectacular, the wine was flowing and the dancers were amazing. Greeks are known the world over for their friendship and hospitality and at Konaki\'s they deliver the whole package and much, much more.

We were with the large party of 17/18 on Saturday night. Just want to thank all the staff for a wonderful evening. Despite being extremely busy, the waiters/waitresses were very patient, describing dishes to us,and looked after us very well. The food was delicious! Had a great time on Hogmanay \'08. Nine of us enjoyed good food, service and quality entertainment. The staff were excellent and I\'ve been recommending Konaki to everyone I speak to.

On Saturday 5th December I celebrated my 60th birthday along with 34 close friends and relatives with a lunch party in Konaki. We had a wonderful time. The meal was excellent and the service second to none. Dimitri and his band of waiters were all so friendly and went out of their way to make it the memorable occasion it was. Everyone remarked on the great atmosphere the restaurant has and I\'m sure our \'hidden gem\' will become a regular eating place for many of them when in Glasgow. Thank you Dimitri and staff, You are all stars!

My partner brought me to Konaki for dinner to celebrate my birthday in June. The party night was absolutely fantastic with all patrons really enjoying themselves.
The food was really delicious and well presented.
The staff are really helpful and friendly.
I would highly recommend this taverna to all and will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

My husband and I came to Glasgow and Konaki in August this year for my birthday as I had heard lots about this restaurant, and I was not dissapointed. The food was absolutely marvellous and the attention from the staff and in particular from the owner, Dmitri, was first class. I would recommend this restaurant to all. We came to Scotland on holiday and discovered one of the best restaurants in Glasgow. The food was fantastic and great value for money. A big thank you to Dimitri and Stephen for making it more enjoyable, the hospitality was amazing guys. We hope to see you again on our next visit.

Am not long back from Crete and loved the Greek food while I was over there so after searching for Greek restaurants in Glasgow found the Konaki and decided to have my birthday dinner there last night (27th Aug 08) and it was amazing. Quite easily one of the best meals I have had in a long long time. Food was great, wine was great and the people very friendly. Would highly recommend going there again and can't wait to go back!

We got married on 12th October 2006 and had our reception at Konaki. Graeme couldn't have been more helpful!He made sure that everything was exactly as we had asked and more! There was enough food to feed an army, much much more than we had ordered and the quality was never compromised even with the vast quantities of food served! George,Dimitri, Graeme and all of the waiting staff treated us like royalty. We cannot rate them all highly enough! They made our wedding day special for everyone especially our son! The food is always superb and the company even better. Thank you all!!

Stumbled upon your restaurant by accident whilst in Glasgow for the day. Was not only impressed by the wonderful food, but also by your staff who were so kind and attentive despite a full house that evening.

Like most previous writers to the Guest Book, we came upon the Konaki by chance.
Visiting the SECC for the Riverdance concert, we took a gamble, a Greek for an Indian meal - well Konaki was well worth it!.
The menu was great - the food well cooked and presented and appropriately washed down with the fine selection of wines, all ended up as a great night.
The atmostphere was tremendous, every table full and several rounds of Happy Birthday made it fun. The service was excellent, the staff friendly and attended to our every need. Even a great story about a Persian carpet from a great man from South Africa, but a real Greek (he told me).
The most enjoyable thing about the whole night was how cheap the bill was at the end. Thanks a lot Konaki, we will be back.
Bookings are a must! Dont miss this real gem in the West End crown.

We were in Glasgow for the weekend with friends and were looking for somehere to eat on the first night, as we had a booking at another resturant for the second night. We went to the Konaki as we all love Greece and found the best Greek Taverna in Scotland maybe even UK. The menu is just superb, the Kleftiko was the best ever as was the Souvlaki and the meatballs - I could go on. We were all impressed with the food,the music and the hospitality. We could have been in Greece! Needless to say, we cancelled our booking for the following night and returned to the Konaki. Only problem is we live too far away to go there regularly but we'll be back as soon as we can.

MY FRIEND AND I VISITED YOUR FAB TAVERNA FOR THE 1ST TIME LAST AND WE WERE MORE THAN IMPRESSED.STAFF,FOOD AND WINE EXCELLENT!!!!!!BEST MEAL IN A LONG, LONG TIME.GREEK FOOD IS MY VERY FAVOURITE CUISINE AND UP UNTIL LAST NIGHT HAVE ONLY BEEN ABLE TO THE EXPERIENCE IT WHEN VISITING GREECE ON A YEARLY BASIS.I AM VEGETARIAN AND MOST GREEK RESTAURANTS IN GLASGOW DONT SEEM TO HAVE A GREAT VARIETY FOR VEGI`S.I WAS REALLY SPOILT FOR CHOICE.I WILL DEFINATELY BE A REGULAR DINER.

Excellent! Food is top notch, we went as a family of 4, very much family orientated, just don't tell Dimitri that its your wife's birthday unless you want the whole place and its customers singing Happy Birthday to you!! Staff are all friendly and polite, service also excellent.

Konaki is my favourite restaurant ever! the food is absolutely delicious, the staff are very friendly and the restaurant itself is lovely and the atmosphere is great. The Greek nights are fun and good value,a really good night out. My family and friends all agree this is a fantastic restaurant.

Our deepest thanks to Dimitri,George,Graham and all the staff of Konaki who made David and Cathy's wedding on 15th July 2005 the most unforgettable of days. The quality and variety of the food provided will be talked about by us and our friends and family for a long time to come. The quantity of the portions, however, has already passed into the realm of legend;their generosity meant that I doubt if any of our guests actually managed to finish their meal, but not for want of trying.The attentiveness,efficiency and courtesy of all the staff was simply unsurpassable, all of our guests commented on their experience of the day being made all the more enjoyable by the efforts of the restaurant staff.If anyone reads this and is looking for somewhere to host a celebration then if you have any sense whatsoever you will realise that your search is over, Konaki Taverna is the place.
